The comedian John Oliver on his show Last Week Tonight recently did a feature about US health care costs. It turns out that the mark-up on medication is so high, the Utah-based insurance company PEHP saves money by paying their customers up to $500 to fly from Salt Lake City to San Diego and then drive to Tijuana to fill their perscription.
