Solidarity is Our Strength – D.C. Man Shelters 70 Protesters in His Home

Date:

In Washington, D.C. on Monday, protesters were faced with pepper-spray and the threat of arrest when a curfew in the district was declared. During the protests, Rahul Dubey, a local D.C. man, let 70 protesters take shelter overnight in his home. According to Dubey, “I hope that my 13-year-old son grows up to be just as amazing as [the protesters] are and I hope that they continue to fight, and I hope that they go out there today peacefully as they did yesterday and not blink because our country needs them, needs you, and everybody more than ever right now.”
