Palestine and Revolution in the Middle East (February 17, 6pm, Baltimore)

Date:

The Palestinian people have struggled for decades for self-determination, human rights, and an end to the everyday violence of occupation. Israel, a colonial settler-state founded on Palestinian land, is the direct cause of the conflict. The horror of the European Holocaust does not justify the oppression of the Palestinian people. Israel consistently violates so-called international laws with the support of the United States and a handful of other reactionary regimes. What could possibly change this situation? In fact, the most pragmatic perspective may be the most seemingly impossible – a socialist revolution in the Middle East led by the working class. Join us for a discussion of this perspective.

Featuring a presentation by an American who has spent much time in Palestine
➢ Saturday, February 17
➢ 6:00 p.m.
➢ The Free School Classroom at Red Emma’s (30 W. North Avenue, Baltimore)

Organized by Baltimore Speak Out Now/Revolutionary Workers Group. We believe that, to end all forms of oppression and exploitation, we need to overthrow the capitalist system and establish a socialist society both here in the U.S. and around the world. We also believe that it is essential to organize to defend our communities today against all forms of oppression and exploitation.
