“The overwhelming majority of people on Earth want sane and compassionate policies that protect our environment.”–Carol Dansereau

We have marched, we have given, we have protested, we have written, we have signed, and we have resisted, but how do we take our power back? Come join Speak Out Now for a discussion with Carol Dansereau on why our environment still needs protecting despite years of activism and how we can best use our energy and resources to change the conversation and save our world.

Speak Out Now, also known as the Revolutionary Workers Group, believes that, to end all forms of oppression and exploitation, we need to end capitalism and establish a socialist society both here in the U.S. and around the world. We cannot rely on capitalists to stop climate change; only a working class-led revolution against them can set the stage to save the environment.

Carol Dansereau has worked for environmental justice as an attorney and organizer for over 30 years. She is the author of the book, What It Will Take: Rejecting Dead-Ends and False Friends in the Fight for the Earth, and is a recipient of the Washington state trial lawyers association’s public justice award and pesticide action network’s health and justice award. Discuss the issues with Carol and others all are welcome to speak and to share views and perspectives.
